भिलाईनगर/ नगर पालिक निगम भिलाई क्षेत्रान्तर्गत आने वाले सोनिया गांधी नगर से पंचशील होते हुए सुभाष नगर स्थित नाले का तथा वार्ड क्र. 29 बापूनगर उड़िया बस्ती के पीछे से हाॅस्पिटल रोड होते हुए रमाताई स्कूल के सामने के नाले का चैनलाईजेशन का कार्य 80-80 लाख की लागत से किया जायेगा। जिसका महापौर एवं भिलाई नगर विधायक श्री देवेन्द्र यादव ने निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान एल्डरमेन सुनील गोयल, पार्षद मार्तण्ड सिंह मनहर, अरुण राय एवं डी काम राजू आदि उपस्थित रहे। महापौर ने नाला से लगे हुए आसपास के क्षेत्रों का निरीक्षण किया तथा नाला के पक्कीकरण कार्य को लेकर क्षेत्र के रहवासियों से चर्चा की। अधिकारियों को नाला चैनलाईजेशन कार्य की विभागीय प्रक्रिया को जल्द पूर्ण करने के निर्देश दिये। जोन आयुक्त जोन 04 अमिताभ शर्मा ने महापौर को बताया कि निविदा आ चुकी है करवाई प्रक्रियाधीन है। सोनिया गांधी नगर के मोहल्ला के आसपास बारिश के दिनों में जलभराव की शिकायतें प्राप्त होती रही हैं। कई वर्षों से लोग नाला पक्कीकरण की मांग करते रहें हैं। महापौर देवेन्द्र यादव ने मामले को संज्ञान में लेकर राशि स्वीकृत कराई है। नाला चैनलाईजेशन के कार्य का भूमिपूजन माननीय मुख्यमंत्री के द्वारा हुआ है ।
इन क्षेत्रों में होती थी जलभराव की समस्या
पावर हाउस बस स्टैण्ड एवं रेल्वे स्टेशन के समीप क्षेत्र का पानी, जीई रोड होते हुए सोनिया गांधी नगर के नाले में मिलता है। नाले का पानी तीन वार्ड सोनिया गांधी नगर का नाला, चन्द्रशेखर आजाद वार्ड, पंचशील नगर तथा सुभाष नगर से होते हुए मुख्य तेलहा नाला में मिलता है। इस पूरे नाले का चैनलाईजेशन का कार्य किया जायेगा। बारिश के दिनों में पावर हाउस बस स्टैण्ड एवं रेल्वे स्टेशन में नाला के पानी में प्रवाह नहीं होने के कारण जलभराव की समस्या होती थी जिससे निजात मिल जायेगा एवं सोनिया गांधी नगर चन्द्रशेखर आजाद वार्ड एवं पंचशील नगर के आसपास की नालियों से जलप्रवाह तीव्रता के साथ नाला में मिलेगा। छोटी नालियों की सफाई कार्य में भी बचत होगी।

वार्ड क्र. 29 बापूनगर उड़िया बस्ती के पीछे से हाॅस्पिटल रोड होते हुए रमाताई स्कूल के सामने के नाले का चैनलाईजेशन का कार्य किया जायेगा। इन्डस्ट्रीयल एरिया से दुर्गा मंदिर एवं बालाजी नगर के नाले का चैनलाईजेशन का कार्य पूर्ण हो चुका है। इसे आगे बढ़ाते हुए उड़िया बस्ती से रमाताई स्कूल के सामने तक के नाले का पक्कीकरण किया जायेगा। उड़िया बस्ती क्षेत्र में बारिश के दिनों में जल जमाव की स्थिति से निजात मिलेगा! निरीक्षण के दौरान ब्लॉक अध्यक्ष डी कामराजु, एल्डरमेन सुनील गोयल ,राजा देवांगन ,बी सूरज जोन आयुक्त अमिताभ शर्मा, सहायक अभियंता अखिलेश चन्द्राकर एवं उप अभियंता प्रकृति जगताप मौजूद रहें।
